Austin Preparatory School is a Catholic private school in Reading, MA for Middle School and High School students in grades 6-12. We seek to cultivate the hearts and minds of our young students and provide an environment in which our students can successfully learn, grow, and develop beyond the classroom.
An Admissions Event is a reception for prospective and future families to learn more about the educational opportunities at Austin Prep. The events are typically hosted by the Office of Admissions and take place in one of the gathering spaces we have on campus.
The Office of College Counseling at Austin Preparatory School oversees the entire college application process throughout a student’s journey at Austin Prep. The office creates an environment in which students take ownership in their college application process under the direction of a college advisor.

To apply for freshman student admission to Austin College, submit all of the following materials by the appro priate deadline: Common Application, ApplyTexas, or the Coalition Application; One Admission Essay (250-650 words; topic of your choice).
To qualify for UT PREP 1, students must have a 90 average or higher in regular science, math, and English courses, with an 85 or higher allowed for advanced coursework.
Students who successfully completed UT PREP 3 will submit grades for the 2020-2021 school year through the 2 nd 6 or 9 weeks (additional weeks may be requested), an application (see below), and an essay to apply for the program.
Austin Peay State University Admissions Overview: Students are required to submit scores from either the SAT or ACT as part of their application; the writing portion of both exams is not required. Students must submit high school transcripts and complete an online application. There is no essay or personal statement as part of this application.
Austin College Admissions Overview: Austin College uses the Common Application, which can save time and energy for students who are applying to schools that also use this application. In addition to this application, students must submit scores from the SAT or ACT, high school transcripts, and two letters of recommendation.
